Glad I only have one package out for delivery,   4 weeks now and counting .  No more Amazon ordering  for me until shipping  problems get corrected .

That you had a problem does not mean Amazon has a problem. Most often when you buy there these days it is some other company actually selling and shipping. I just got in an order today from them several days earlier than predicted and it was very quick getting here.

Wasnt singling out Amazon but ordering on-line in general . I think the problem lies with the carriers .  This summer I placed a order from Idaho , Later they e-mailed me the package was delivered, I searched the premises ,an no package to be found . Luckily , I was driving out my driveway and looked down and FED-EX left the package under my mail-box  which is 100 yards from my house .

My mailbox is about 200 yards from my house. Once Fedex left a check that was sent next day air for $2250 from one of our advertisers in the newspaper box. It was a stormy day with lots of wind and rain. Naturally it got soaked and I'm lucky it didn't just blow out and get lost.

They reported it delivered to my front door. Only after a call to the local office and them contacting the driver was the truth revealed.

Fedex also dropped off a package up at my barn and reported it delivered to front door. Once I called and they called the driver he said it was near my tractor. I found it but the barn sure ain't my house and the side shed where the tractor stays ain't my front porch.

Wasnt it up near your way that a FED-EX  driver dumped his van  load of packages in the woods .?

I had a model 1907 Winchester left on my front step.

There's a good many that follow
delivery trucks around in this
region, and snag the parcels if
they can. Some have been caught
and had their cars redecorated.
I'm sure it happens all over. Some
people are just not aware of it
happening in their own area

USPS  has been notorious these
last couple of decades for opening
birthday and special occasion
cards looking for cash. They
stole a good sized parcel of mine
that was tracked to the local
Zip code P.O. and "lost ".
The postal investigator was more
or less apathetic and disinterested
since 95% of the employees there
are black.  They closed the case
when someone should have been
fired and prosecuted and lost
their benefits
