They do have work details for convicts
here that do work mostly on state areas
like parks and WMA's, but it's not really
punishment. You have to really toe the line
to get sent out to work. Being taken from
general population to get fresh air and
be where you're under intense scrutiny of
the guards is a reward for most of the
convicts. I know a few prison guards, and
they say that the convicts on a work
detail don't need any kind of instruction to
work hard and behave. The cons know if
they don't do right, they get put back in
with the animals
