Nicely done.
That seems to be a very large facility.
I was interested enough to look a little deeper. GLC makes a LOT of cheese. There are two other plants in NY….Adams, NY and Cuba, NY.
Are they anywhere near you, IG?
In addition, there are plants scattered across the country….lots of cheese.
Yes, the Cuba cheese plant has been operating in Cuba NY (about 25 miles from me) since the late 1800s. In recent years they moved their cheese making to a nearby town of Friendship, while keeping their retail shop in Cuba.
Originally just Cuba cheese, a few decades ago they were bought out by Empire Cheese..then more recently absorbed by Great Lakes. All their cheese making operation should be going on in the new facility by 2025.
My son does the regular weekly video for them..not cheap, but less expensive and troublesome than flying a weekly delegation here to check on the project.
He started the whole job when he heard that Great Lakes was considering this site , among others. Having
worked with the county industrial development people before, he offered a free drone coverage for them to present to the Great Lakes executives..which they included in their presentation.
Once the site was confirmed, it was a natural for GLC to contact my son for their weekly video.
