I believe it is even uglier than the US Falcon. I owned a '60 Pontiac that developed a little problem and while the dealer had it they gave me a Falcon to drive. I was afraid to pull out in front of a car in town without a five block distance to get up enough speed to keep from getting run over. I almost hugged my Pontiac when I got it back.

Yeah,  you have to keep in
mind that these cars were
equipped with a small CID
engine roughly the size of
a small 4 cylinder pinto or
vega and probably rated at
less than 100 horsepower
I had friends and acquaintances
years ago with 289 and 302
Falcons that would move out
fairly quickly
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

ill take the falcon if i was FORCED to drive a ford. My brother in law back in the mid 70s had a beautiful white gasser styled street falcon with a built 289. It was fast and felt dammed fast with that straight axle front end. It was a cool car. Now i dont care for fords but id like to have that one. Car was mint and would turn heads at a car show today. Sad thing is they got married and had a kid right away so he had to sell it and he bought a cutlass. Then about a year later they popped out twins and he traded that car on an impala station wagon. He was a sherrifs deputy until about a year after he bought that wagon he had a stroke and died. See what driving a nerdy car will do to a MAN. He went from a gasser and a pan head chopper to a station wagon and a 450 honda and it killed him!!
