I just came in from blowing snow.
It is 4 below with a 23 mph wind.
I have to buy find some true winter gloves, I had on a pair of those black fuzzy gloves of Sharon's and a pair of heavier work glove; I still have to finish shoveling off the steps but my finger tips were hurting to the point that would have been not a good thing.
Now I have been in a lot worse weather but this time when I was finishing, after approx. an hour, I was actually getting a little dizzy, or, I did not stumble like or feel like a drunk but if I did not pay attention to walking, i.e. turn and step sideway, my feet and head were not sure what to do.
I have never, ever in seventy years had that before; it went away when I came in and washed dishes but not immediately.
They say you are not supposed put aching hands/fingers in warm water but I did that , dishes were in the sink soaking in quite warm water already, and the ache turned to tingles in seconds not ten minutes later.
An odd thing, I had to walk the snow-blower up a 100 foot hill directly into the wind, and my face said why are you not wearing your Arctic Winter Coat, but when my fingers really started to ache, I forgot all about my face.
Merry Christmas and Happy Festivus, as Kramer would say.
