An interesting film from 1964, when there was no 24 hour road race at Daytona so LeMans was the big kahuna with no challenger.

The car was using the all alloy 256 in. cu. small block Ford that was also used at Indy till the 4 cam engine came along.
It is from a British point of view (with a section definitely for selling Autolite spark plugs) but take you back to a time when factory race teams did not giant machine shops on wheels carrying the cars and the paddocks were still grass.

Never got to sit in one or
ride in one of those originals.
Got to sit and drive in Cobras
and Boss Mustangs, and most
every other thing they had back
then, including the Panteras.
Got to ride in the newer GT when
the dealer I worked at got a red
one in a decade or so ago.
They're a little too light than I'm
comfortable with

i drove a boss 429 and boss 302 and even a boss 351. Matter of fact ended up with the motor out of that boss 351 and stupidly sold it for 500 bucks not knowing how rare it was. Drove a cobra replica with a build injected 302 and it would scoot. Never even sat in or seen a real cobra or gt40 in person.
