target shooting...
« on: March 13, 2004, 06:20:03 AM »
would you look for a glock or a sig for target shooting purposes??
I know I am on the glock board, so some opinions MAY be a little biased...
if a glock, which one and which caliber?

Thanks

Dave

Either brand if pointed right will hit a target, some a little farther away than others :)  Seriously though, I'll never buy a SIG though they are very fine guns. Sean

For strictly target shooting, I would first consider H&K then SIG then Beretta then Glock. I love My Glock 20 but for target shooting the others with their DA/SA triggers will generally shoot better offhand. Of course this varies from pistol to pistol and person to person. Which ever one fits your hand best will probably shoot best offhand because it will squirm less during the trigger pull. The order I listed above is how they shot for me, both offhand and bench tested.
All that said, when push comes to shove, I'll be reaching for that G-20-10mm.
