My first thought was that she had did
herself in since she's been so distraught
since her son's suicide.

Well, her dads personal life was a mess, her mother was 14, and "the king" was 24 when they got together. Lisa Marie was married 4 times, once to pervert Michael Jackson, and as I recall, she had drug problems much of her life.
With the way she was raised it amazing she lived as long as she did.

Still...a tragedy for anyone who,,loved her.  We can take shots at the lady, now that she is dead, but she apparently
  had some moral "warts"...each of us at least have some bothersome character pimples..

   Clearly, she suffered through some very trying time4s in her life, starting with her father's untimely
  death.
    I am not up to speed on celebrities, so I was unaware that her son had died at his own hand..

  let me tell you something from experience, when someone loses a child..it is a DIFFERENT thing !

  Your children are supposed to bury you !  I lost a son to a truck accident..I have a niece who lost a son in his 
  early twenties..and how many have lost a son or daughter to war? You are never the same again..

  Does it matter HOW they died?  No, all a parent's heart knows is he/she is not here to comfort or commune with..

I'm not unsympathetic to the family, I have lost almost all of my family except for my kids, and theirs, but let's be real.
Elvis and Priscilla put the "fun" in dys"fun"ctional,, which gave Lisa Marie a scarce amount of roll models. Then she in turn basically doubled down on their examples.

Read about her death, this morning. Felt sorry for her and family, no matter what the cause of death was. She had a mixed up life, and when you see and read about others like her, realize fame and fortune isn't all that matters. She was born into it, and never seen what real life is all about. R.I.P.

  Yes, there was apparently much dysfunction there.."celebrity" life seems to bring that on, doesn't it !

  As Gypsyman said and we all probably know, fame, fortune and great wealth ..often bring on more misery that it tends to solve.

  Consider this..we each have friends..but if you are no more famous, wealthy or important than I am, you can figure
  that your friends are there because they WANT to be friends...and not so they can either sponge off you, or use you to climb some social "ladder'.

  A wise man once said.. "you can judge a man's character by how he treats those who can do nothing for him".

i would guess that the day she died thousands of good christians even younger then her died too. I dont much give a crap about celebrities. They are no more important and maybe less then your kids and grandkids are to me. Id bet that day at least one little kid at the Shriner's hospital died a miserable death that didnt have some glamorus life. Thats where my prayers will go. Truth be told its just one less far left hollywood elitist gone.

  True, celebrity status should not play any part in such a thing.. same as the football player who collapsed on the field.
   Still, anyone celeb or not, is loved by family and friends.  I served in the old "draftee" army.  I served with some of the very poorest and some of the exterme wealthy... never differentiated between the two..unless they drew attention to the fact.

   Back then, an APC gets blown away with an infantry squad inside...all were equal in our eyes, and in God's eyes also....then the sorting took place..

yup she never felt hunger or lacked for anything she wanted. Millions of kids are raised that dont have a father what so ever and come out just fine. Ill save the sympathy i have for people i dont know that died to people who died in combat or police who died in the street. Not some rich Primadona that daddy didnt pay attention to. Just the fact she married that wacko nicholas cage says alot.

What amazes me is, Elvis' daughter, who never really did anything to be famous, other than making one bad decision after another, is getting so much attention, AFTER SHE DIED.

She really didn't have to do a thing being the daughter of Elvis. That was enough to elevate her in a lot of people's eyes. Why I don't understand. To me she was just someone you read about in the news doing dumb things.
