Postage Stamps
« on: January 20, 2023, 07:55:52 AM »
Went to USPS site regarding price increase on Forever Stamps. There are offers there for 50% off on price of stamps. Postman says it's a scam but doesn't know how it works. Anyone know anything about this 50% off thing? Can it be legitimate? Help.

They’re shipping, UPS and FedEx sure does use them a lot. Or they use them. I sure do see those trucks outside the post office a lot.

. . . the government doesn't like competition nor being under sold

That's why they took all the stamp vending
machines away.  Now you have to stand in
a slow line to get waited on by an indifferent
black woman while she argues with a border
jumper woman about sending a parcel to
meck-see-ko while an 8 year old translates
back and forth
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

What’s a ‘Forever’ stamp? I thought everything sent through USPS took the complementary forever route.

They both have the USPS delivering for them; a postal clerk told me how it works but it does show no matter from whom you get you packages, it is a total Chinese-Fire-Driill.

Well, can see no issues in 9 replys regarding discounted stamps. No issues with USPS. No visits in big black sedans. No question from USPS regarding stamps. No lawsuits. No failures receiving stamp orders. No problems, no complaints so these discounted stamps must be legit. Hard to believe.

My 84 year old mother buys Forever stamps in rolls of 100 for $25 from a woman she plays bingo with at the senior center. I never considered them being fake. Guess I'm gonna have to sit her down and give her a talkin to about this life of crime she's leading........................................... ;D ;D ;D ;D

  Can't figure it out:
My mail used to arrive each day, usually between 1100 and 1200, so i could plan on walking across the street to my box, anytime after noon and pick up my mail if I had any.

Then came that storm to Buffalo a few weeks ago (for some stupid reason, our mail goes through Buffalo).
During the storm and its cleanup, we got no mail.

Forget that old "neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night shall stop..."

However, the mail since then, has been very erratic, seems it can arrive any time between 800 hours and 2000
hours. Sometimes I get no mail for 3-5 days, then I get a bundle of letters...mostly junk, of course..

I received several pieces of mail
today that were delivered in error
to this address by the USPS employee
busily chattering on his cell phone
and I guess can't properly do the
job he draws a paycheck for since
it takes all his concentration to carry
on his conversation

If that  was me I'd have been written
up or fired
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
