I predicted to my wife the other day that a lot more will have to own up to being careless. One commentator I heard today said he thought there's probably a systematic problem in how civilians in government handle classified material. I suspect that is correct. When I was in the service, there was a specific way and room for reviewing classified material. You didn't take it to your office, or home, or store it in your desk. If there are consequences, maybe the system can be fixed... Maybe not.

I'm going to guess, because I don't know. Somebody at the National Archives figured out how to search who had what, and where. Now it's time to call in all the "overdue library books". However, I think whoever came up with this trove of information, is playing a brilliant political game, softsoaping the offenses of the worst violators, by intermittently uncovering offenses of lessor violating people, and mixing them into the media releases in a timely manner

what i dont understand is why biden and pense didnt at least get those classified documents off there property or destroyed when trump got busted. Are they just that arrogant and think there that immune to the law that it doesnt even cross there minds. Even when they found the first documents biden had. Why didnt he at least get rid of the rest??? You would thing that ANY politician that had classified documents by now would have had a bon fire!!

What I think is going on here, is poor old Joe got caught with classified documents. So now other people are going to get caught with classified documents, that way Joes offense will be lessened, because you can't put everybody in jail. Joe is on his way out.

There will only be classified documents found where they want to find them.   Does anyone really think they would have found documents in Bidens possession the democratic leaders didn't want them found. If dementia Joe's dementia hadn't got so bad there would have been no documents found in his garage. Obviously there was a desire to cripple Pence.

Another reason for term limits. Pence has been in office since 2000. Biden since the 70's, Pelosi the same. I honestly think after so many years in office, they believe their above the law. Classified documents, insider trading, sex escapades, (J.Epstein), lost emails, money laundering/payoffs. The list goes on, and nobody goes to jail!!

Just read a Drudge article that explains how and why the system is broken at the top of the civilian government. To some extent they think they are that important. To some extent it is because the "hired help" is doing the packing of offices and work areas. To some extent it is because there's not a good tracking system. If someone pays, I'll bet it gets fixed for a while.

  The present bunch of doc snitchers won't get prosecuted...but if congress were any good at all, thy would give all govt personnel jus 20 days to turn whatever they may have so far as classified papers.
 
    After that, ANYBODY who has anything other than where they belong should automatically get a long sentence.

  ..But alas, that won't happen, too little character left in government.
