Best Burger Joint in Every U.S. State, Ranked
« on: January 24, 2023, 08:45:20 AM »
I am putting this here inspite of the fact most of these are casseroles in a bun, BUT, the Minnesota and South Dakota ones, plus Wisconsin's are for once not on a Freeway, and if you do not know the area will not find it without a map.
I have been to the one in Minnesota a truly small town, more like a village that has the regions VFW ballpark and a few other businesses you would have to drive a lot of miles fo, plus they serve Hamm's Beer on tap. It is an item that was in every beer and burger bar when I was young but now is a rare find.

Any way here they are:

Minnessota: King's Place

Location: Miesville

The savory details: This baseball-themed burger place has over 50 burgers to choose from, . That's what makes them so great.

There's nothing around here anymore.
Booger Queen, McSalty's, and Jack
in the crack. That's it
The last of the decent places went out
some time back. An elderly white haired
lady had a good place for a lot of years,
and a wall full of awards.
She had an old fashioned place that
made great hamburgers, and didn't have
a gross of menu items. No specialized
yuppie "burgers ". Bun, beef patty(s),
cheese if you want it, vegetables, mayo,
mustard, or ketchup, or all.
She had a sign prominently posted at
the counter-  we salt and pepper our
meat,  and salt our fries. If you want
yours made differently, please state
at time of order.
The modern practice of on line yuppie
reviews finally put her out. The restroom
wasn't fancy enough, and you had to
drink a selection of cold drinks or tea.
She wouldn't serve beer, and the yuppies
got p.o.'ed over it
One of the last of the best.
Really good Christian polite woman too
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

If anyone goes through Midland, TX the best burger joint there is Bob's Better Burger. No indoor dining, you walk up to the window and place your order and either eat in your vehicle or take it home.

I clicked upon the link.. hoping to see the rankings...   It may be just me, but I got a Microsoft "freeze on your PC" message..tying my PC up for some time.

Not many worthwhile big name  burger joints where I live, but when I visit my grandson & family in Missouri, I
simply must visit Culver's for their "butter burger"..

There is a restaurant nearby..close to the Great Lakes construction scene, that serves a real decent burger.  If I order that burger with fries, I may as well order the take-out box with it!

I tease the manager, telling him..."I ordered a burger, not half the cow!"  ..But is not just BIG, it is also good.

The construction is helping them now..bound to help even more after 2025.

There are none in my area that I know of to brag about. I am always leary of these "best in the state" rankings. It's just someone else's opinion.

If I ever had a reason to be in little San Antonio, NM at lunch time I would have to try out the burger at the Owl cafe. There have been too many "best' ratings for too many years about this place to let a chance to try one pass. I have been thru that little place, only takes about a minute, many times but it has always been fairly early in the morning or middle of the afternoon so no burger for me yet.

Right ! When it all comes down to where the "rubber meets the road"...those are all "opinions"...
