Can we expect Memphis to be soon destroyed?

   It looks like there has been an episode of police brutality involving Memphis police. Apparently they were unnecessarily tough on a fleeing suspect.   Bad enough..

   Now the police chief comes out asking the public not to go completely insane, when she displays the police
  body cams.
  Meanwhile she adds all kinds of inciting adjectives, explaining how absolutely brutal her police were.  That doesn't
  seem to help "keep the cool"  IMO.

   They wonder why these things happen!  Are they starting early, teaching children in the community, that when
   stopped by police, their best move is ... to COMPLY !

Just me-  I've never had handcuffs on,
never had to sit in the back of a patrol
car, never had to lay on the ground,
never been in a cell of any kind.
Of course, I've never grappled with a
LEO, never argued with one, never been
in a chase either on foot or in a vehicle.
Never been impaired out in public.
Never brought out a firearm or knife.
Never screamed and cussed and hollered.

Well, I won't quote any scripture, or cite any doomsday Biblical prophecy, because I don't know when all that will  take place.

But! Countrys rise, and fall, and struggle, throughout history, and I believe we are as a country, are entering into an age of growing violence, and a lotta internet rambos are gonna get to find out just how tuff, and how willing, and how able, they are to "go it on their own" so to speak.

I also believe that states will begin to break away from the so-called "United" States which clearly aren't "united" at all, and will do so out of necessity.

Our government has abandoned us, and has become hostile toward us, and just as England once did, "take" but never give back, anything in return other than chaos, corruption, and oppression. We here in Texas, are experiencing, "TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION".

Mexico did the same thing with Texas. They taxed the hell outta Texans promising protection from Indians, but the Comanche sent'em packing.

Texas' solution was separation. I think that is where the country is heading again.

Geezz....the videos shows cops gone wild out of control beating on the guy.

Reminds me of my good friend Tom. We were in a band called Armageddon.  Tom like alot of irishmen had a problem with demon whiskey.  One night cops picked up Tom to take to the lockup for disorderly public drunkeness.  I guess he mouthed off and while in the lockup the cops beat him to  near death.....he later died in the hospital from a brain hemmorage. Our friend and a nurse, Carol, was called to identify the body.  She said his face and head were so beaten she could barely identify Tom.
He was 47 years old and a father; expert guitarist too. No investigation.

Well, it looks like after watching the video clips that the Memphis Police Dept has a real problem. Combine that with a female police chief with an emotional problem, and a runaway mouth, Memphis will likely have a lot of problems this weekend.

That’s right, i watched the film footage of it last night. From what i saw all those cops were black. I trained at MAB while in the AF. And downtown Memphis was a mad house even back then. Hookers, drugs, robbers, murders. About like LA or Chicago. Or Juarez Mexico.

Mule.....this happened to Tom around 30 years ago in a small Vermont city before police were saddled with camera gear. Everyone knew what happened and Tom would be in his 70's today if still alive.

The 5 officers have been fired, arrested, and charged with murder. Other than a trial, what is left?

Murder happens everyday in the United States, but whipping crowds into a frenzy only inspires civil unrest.

Yes, there are bad cops out there. And bad plumbers, and doctors, and farmers, and so on, and so on.

It's always been that way.

  You are right on Dee!  What in _ _ _ _  is there to demonstrate about?  Sure it was a brutal beating, but it is not like these bad actors are going to "skate" !

   They have already been charged, and are awaiting trial.  A time for exhibiting grief, and a time for  a community to
  join together in a healing process, but there is not much to "demonstrate" about.

  Surely this would be  a good time for pastors and other community leaders to gather and demand that people start
  to live right and form workable, two parent, intact families.

  It has been long known that a dysfunctional family is the root of the problem.

  Probably a wise move!   We see that kind of thing operating in the Biden administration, with the CIA, FBI, IRS and other three letter groups.
