Could Governor Ron DeSantis Win The 2024 Presidency?
« on: January 31, 2023, 01:52:47 PM »
I think he could. Will he run? I think he might. Can he beat Trump? I think he could.

Trump has become that old Ron White joke: He has the right to remain silent, but lacks the ability.

DeSantis doesn't seem to be so braggadocious, but makes his points with smoothness, and is less offensive.

He calls out fake news not so much by insult, but reminding them of their intentions.

I think he might be the only real conservative shot at the 2024 White House. JMO ;)

Gotta agree. I was a die hard Trump fan and think he was the best thing since homemade black raspberry preserves as President...

Trump has already started to bad mouth DeSantis ,and DeSantis hasn't even declared yet. Big mistake for Trump to do this.

A guest commentator on  new show last night said, other politicians said Trump made very good political decisions and his ability there was well like; it was his big mouth BSing around the bar style in public that has them rethinking their support for him , as this is what uneducated public voters are affected by more than his actual politics.

He has lost weight since the last election, he should learn to shut his mouth and keep his opinion in a lock-box about silly items.

I liked what Trump did as president, but got sick of his incessant bragging on himself. I liked his politics, but wouldn't want to set down to dinner across the table from him.

I think he may have run his coarse as far as being electable.

I prefer DeSantis also. He holds up to the media and talks like a president. He might just be the republican nominee.
He’s vibrant , young and no BS.

Sadly when they speak that way, you can tell they are lying, their lips are moving. :(

I don't think he's that way. He hasn’t been with Florida. His wife was very sick. He also served in the military. Trump and Biden have not.

I supported Trump in two elections. Like most, I liked most of his actions as President. A couple of things he caved on like the Bump stock thing, I didn't. His mouth can be embarrassing, and he will not shut it, when his actions alone are better. If he will lay off the mud slinging against Desantis (If he runs) I will still vote for him. I believe it's clear now DeSantis will run. I do hate to see States lose good Governors like he has been for Fla. I believe our future as a republic will depend on the states.....Not the corrupt federal government.

I believe our future as a republic will depend on the states.....Not the corrupt federal government.

I've been saying that for 2 years. Texas was originally "A REPUBLIC" and needs to be again.

Texas is getting "NOTHING" from the federal government except interference on closing our southern border, but continues to tax Texas to the tune of 300+ billion dollars a year. TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION, the other 45 NOT UNITED STATESstate governments aren't offering anything but useless advice, and criticism.

Texas would be better off to keep our federal tax money, and try and WITHDRAW FROM THIS USELESS,  NONEXISTENT UNION.

If he does actually run, he'll get
the office.
Just me-  sure, some of DJT's
words are harsh, but he's mostly
saying what many are thinking but
won't say aloud.  There's too much
enabling and making excuses today
and stepping lightly to salve delicate
"feelings "

What would a leftist democrat see in DeSantis to make them vote for him?  As far as democrats being tired of what the Biden regime is doing and going to vote for a conservative I say BS. America had its chance to begin changing things in the mid terms but we didn't. The democratic voters especially had an opportunity to vote for something different than what we have, but they failed to do that. So I don't believe for a second that democrats are all of a sudden going to vote for DeSantis.

They'd better quit worrying about what democrats hate, and vote for someone who has a good record, and can win.
