Henry 30-30
« on: February 10, 2023, 12:37:39 AM »
So I had a hard time finding a NEF or H&R 3030, so one day I walked in to the gun store and there was a Henry single shot with the sticker saying 5xx$ I said well if I don’t buy it I’ll just kick my self in the ass so it came home and I’ve laid deer down with it running 150gr federal round nose ammo, topped with a leupold vx3 1.5-5x20(hate the scope, a 2-7 will be going on it)

Yes
Nothing wrong with the 30/30 despite
what the magazines and yoofloob videos
say. And they don't run out of gas at the
100 yard invisible wall either. My
buddy's dad has laid a good many whitetails
down out past 150-170 yards with a scoped
marlin 30/30. I've never bothered to
measure my own shots, but I know at
least a few have been out + - 150
We only used the conventional flat nosed
ammo as well. You don't have to buy
special ammunition to kill animals
Good Luck
