Tesla, ironically, is the most American made car.  They make their batteries in Nevada, assembly in California and Texas.  Other car makers use parts from Mexico and Asia.  Toyoda Tundra was the most American made internal combustion car at one time.  It was made in Texas.  I think they are going to discontinue it due to Ford, Chevy, and Dodge Ram's dominating the large pickup truck market.

Tesla is going to introduce their pickup truck later this year with stainless steel made in Alabama, batteries from Nevada, and assembly in Austin, Texas.

If Tesla can make their vehicles in America from American parts, why can't Ford and GM do the same?  All Tesla factories are non-union.  Don't know if that is a reason.
