Growing up on a farm we did our own meat processing, beef, hog, and chicken. We had a hand cranked sausage mill and when we finally got electricity my dad converted it to electric power. He removed the crank handle and ground the shaft down to where it mounted on down to where a 1/2" electric drill chuck would fit. One of us would run the drill and another stuff meat into the mill. It really did away with a lot of the work required to make sausage and it did just as good with hamburger.
