When finished today even though it did not break 40 degrees my slice of pizza was very warm as my windows were up and the sun turned the heat up. Unfortunately my large plastic cup of water was also warm. Could have been worse and I enjoyed the slice of pizza.

It's just 6:AM here. Got places to go and things to do today so it's a honey bun and a cup of coffee this morning. Quick and easy. I''ll make up for it at dinner today because I'll be where there is an excellent BBQ joint that I haven't been close to for a least 4 years.

skillet breakfast with eggs cheese bacon, ham, sausage, hashbrowns and onions with sausage gravy on top. I could eat it every day. Or you can use the same ingredients without the hasbrowns and make breakfast burritos and put sauage gravy on it. I hope they poor sausage gravy on my casket before they burry me.

Micro-waved hot pepper cheese on Menard's White Bread and Strong coffee.

Because I used to have to get up during the Five O'Clock hour, unless I am taking pain killers for sinus head-aches (and somt times I still wake up) I wake up every day during the Five O'Clock hour.

You can count on two-hands fingers, the number of times I not only woke up but actually got up during that hour the past fifteen or so years.
Oddly , it was always in the middle of winter, when it was still dark outside for three more hours. (Partly may be because 30 years ago , before we had a snow blower, I would get up after/during a snow storm so we could get out of the parking lot.)

I work evenings, so it's to bed between 3:30am and 4am, and up at 10:00am to 10:30am.  Average about 6 1/2 hours.

I still wake up at 4 but have learned to doze off again. It's getting harder as the days lengthen. 4 is good in summer as it lets you get out while it's cool and you can quit when the day heats up. I can't take much 100 degree or above temps anymore.

Same here only its 5am. My living room has a big picture window and glass storm door. I watch the day wake up with a cup of coffee.

Ah, the old grave-yard shift (if one works shift work), I hated the afternoon shift, but the grave-yard from twelve to eight was nice only in that no big shot was around, and the shift foreman was a decent dude.

Years later I worked at Cabinet shop graveyard shift, straight nights from at first 2 to 2 then when business dropped, from 2 to 10 Monday thru THursday.

One kind of good thing was when I headed home at 2, the grocery store was a 24 hours place and you could smell the next batch of goodies being baked.
I would stop at the grocery store and bring home baked goods for my kinda-sorta breakfast.
One of those odd pleasant memories.

I keep figuring that the stores will
get tired of having to dispose of
the old overpriced eggs, and cut
the price back, or just not stock
any. I sure wouldn't mind a few
eggs for breakfast

I do not eat a breakfast very often , outside coffee or tea.
I have fallen back into a habit of when I do it is , as it was today, sliced colby, cheddar or some thing similar, micro-waved on Walmart white bread.

Not good for the waist as I can eat a loaf of bread in 3 days easily.
Today it was extra sharp Kraft cheddar on bread micro-waved with coffe mixed with tea I made yesterday.

The usual the last month or so.
Cup o coffee, bowl of oatmeal
and a cup o coffee, or a couple
of cookies and a cup o coffee,
or a piece of toast and a cup
o coffee, then a cup o coffee.

I understand that eggs in this
area are semi reasonably priced
once again. I might look and
pick up a few next journey.
Maybe even a few tortillas and
chorizo to make a couple of
roll em ups
There's always the ensure option
