My Ultra Slug had a Bushnell Banner 4X32 on it and has been great. I am shooting hand loads in the 45/70. Getting close but still working on the right load.

Finally remembered to talk to Wal-Mart again today and they said that the two 4x32 fixed power Sharpshooters would be ready to pick up in about 3-4 days.....$19.76 each. Sure hope these hold up as well as Scruffy's has.

Picked 'em up today....$25.01 each....she had misquoted the price to me. Still not bad tho and about the same as the BSA is. I like these a lot better and one is going on the Huntsman first and if I like it and if it lasts thru range shooting for groups and sighting in, then it will stay there. Either way can't go wrong and if they are POS it came from Wal-Mart so you know the rest of this story. Still have the 3-9x40 in reserve, too.

lik2hunt, how did they work out? My nieghbor who had shot my .223 liked it so much just bought one and is looking for a scope, I am pretty sure he wants a 3x9 but how did your 4x work out?. What do you think about the 3x9 Sharpshooter?....<><.... :grin:

MSPR - All I can tell you at this point is that they are bright and clear and seem that they would be effective and functional. Haven't had any of them on a gun yet for a number of reasons (I'll email ya with the details) but they are clearer than the Tasco I looked at a few weeks ago and they seem to be a pretty close match for the Sportsman Line that Bushnell also offers.

Have now been to the range with the Huntsman and the 4x32 fixed Bushnell mounted. Had success with the combo out to 50 yds. then had to go. My bud liked the scope so well that he has now purchased my spare for his wife's MZ. Looks like I'll have to go thru the process again if I decide to get another. Oh well, can't go wrong for $25 in my books.

I had almost forgotten about this thread. I bought 2 of the 3-9x40 sharpshooters. One of them is one my 45-70 the other is on my 270. May be one of the best values for the money that I have gotten. Over 50 rounds shot under each and still holding zero. I also just bought a 3-9x32 Sharpshooter from Natchez for 19.95 for my Huntsman using the quick release see thru scope mounts (weaver's that did not impress me too much). My brother in law says that we will be able to use the scopes on blackpowder guns in Alabama this year.
