Hang on. It's headed your way. My skinny elm tree is shakin' around pretty good and has been for awhile. Weather guy says up to 45 mph today. No dust so far though.

We have not had that for Forty years, when we had drought and no snow in winter with strong winds, do not miss it one darn bit.

Imagine if you were dependant on wind generated electricity..  no wind no electric..if the wind hits more than 45 mph,
they lock down the vanes to keep them from tearing apart..so no electricity then either...

Well the cold breeze stopped blowing and it is a beautiful sunny sunset outside.
Weather lady says temperatures for the next week and more are ten to twenty degrees below average, so the dirty ugly scene when snow melts up won't show up for a bit and I do not mind that one bit.

Now I do remember very warm March when I was still in high school, playing basket ball outside and then laying on a snow bank to cool off, but this is the March I remember most often though usually there would then be a sudden change from a late winter to a normal spring.

Spit a little mix of rain and snow this morning but turned into a nice day.

Except the part where a bull almost Freight trained bustin out of the head gate on a squeeze chute. He almost missed me. Both shoulders and upper right back are some kinda sore.
Don't think anything broke.   :-\

How about today over on the east side of the cap? It's seriously unpleasant outside here. DO NOT wear a cowboy hat unless you are a good runner.

Just got a package from the UPS gent who was nice enough to actually knock on the door rather than set it by the snow outside on the door step.

The worthless online weather says it is 39 nine degrees with a 2 mph wind, BS, it is snowing heavily with a brisk wind.
SWe have at least 2 inches of very heavy very ,wet snow and radar  says it is supposed to snow for another 9 hours.
Snow is too heavy for a snow blower unless one wants to unplug it every five to ten miuntes so it will be all shovel work later on. 8)

We had/are having a LOT more snow that I expected so I had to use the snow blower.
Thankfully the later snow was light enough to blow.
At least 4 inches so far and it is still snowing.

It is 27 right now and supposed to get to 8 above tonight with a high of 15 tomorrow so, it will be solid ice on the roads and side-walks tomorrow.
I have to go out an broom the snow off of the car or it will be one big ice-cicle tomorrow morning , although even if I remove the snow and sluch, the continuing snow will be ice in the morining.
Worst is there is standing water in some areas under 4 inches of snow and that is hard shoveling and the blower only pisses it out a little beyond the tire.

Areas 300 miles North of here, where even they had the stinkin above freezing weather, will be getting some truly crappy weather as there it iwll be sub-zero with standing water freezing hard under the snow.
Pity the kids that have to go to school tomorrow moring  as they will be heading for school in horrible circumstances.
Leave the car truck running all night, if it does not have remote start,  or chip it out of an ice block in the moring.
I loathe the month of March.

Down in the flat lands that must be truly nasty.
There is a world of difference between what snow and wind can  be like down by my home town as it is right on the edge between hill and truly flat land.

Down in Tracy, Mn area, flat as a board area, State Highway Patrol said best to stay off of any road.

Wouldn't know about the flat land, I'm in canyon land.

Flat as a pancake here. 45 mph out of the SW and made it to 72. Then the wind switched to the north after lunch almost as fast and it began to cool down. I was in the garage making a gadget wearing a t-shirt and iI gave it up about 4 o'clock as it was getting pretty chilly. No snow but an all around unpleasant day. A little snow, maybe tomorrow through Sunday. Spring has taken a short vacation.

The front just came through here. 61 now and wind also. Tearing these spring breakers up in South Padre Island now  ;) such a shame.  ;D
