  Reports are coming in, that the Russians are digging in for a WW1 style, stalemate.  Word is..some of the Ukraine forces are doing the same..

  I can't imagine what they are thinking.  Since WW1 and the advent of armor, air power, rockets and missiles, fixed fortifications are obsolete..  Consider the Seigfried line..
