Red Cajun Line?????
« on: March 14, 2004, 03:14:49 PM »
Have you used red cajun line yet??  They say it disappears sooner as it goes down.  I put some on my topwater setup so it look like red blood on top of the water.  I also put it on my senko bait rod as a leader too.  They say the blood red bleeding bait triggers strikes!!  I can't wait to go bass fishing soon i hope the ice is almost off.  Now I wonder if a RED Cajun Line leader on my crankbait rod will make a change too.                BigBill

BigBill,

I loaded up one of my casting outfits with 17 lb. Red Lightin'.  With the weather getting warmer everyday(in the 80's) the water is warming up fast.  Almost warm enough for the spawn to start.  I took my outfit down to the reservoir that a farmer friend owns and the bass are gathering just off the shallows.  I tossed one of my 1/4 oz. in-line spinners in and on the second cast a 2.5 lb. male tried to inhale it.  In a little over an hour I caught 9 bass ranging from 2 lbs. to almost 6 lbs. without moving from my spot there on the shore.  That Cajun line is working as expected so far.  Disappears just like they say it will.  Lawdog

Are you going to try Bleeding Baits too? Like spinnerbaits and buzzbaits? I also got red trebles on all my cranks and red hooks for my plastics too.

BigBill,

I have painted a few of the in-line spinners I make red and they have red and white skirts and some of the other skirts I put on my spinners have red strands in them but so far I have not seen any improvement because of using a red color.  No plans at this time to try red hooks but let me know if they do work for you.  Good luck and tight lines to you.  Lawdog
