Cancelled my order for the Huntsman barrel
«

I just called to check on my barrels and they told me that the Huntsman barrels are out of stock again and I will be close to the first on the list for the next batch. They received my rifle on Jan 26. I told them to cancel the order for the barrel. I will just buy a Huntsman or maybe a Sidekick now. My patience is gone. The weather is going to be good soon and I am anxious to get the 45-70 and 223 barrels that they do have in stock. (Should have done this weeks ago I guess.)
Oh well now I won't have to worry about buying the straight stock I was ordering either. That's $107 almost the cost of a new Huntsman.

Good idea...Makes it easier when you want to go shooting too...You don't need to keep on switching barrels, forearms and stocks just to shoot different guns. More convenient too...

They got my frame on 2/23 for a huntsman. I called today and no delays said 2 to 3 weeks I wil have it. Maybe I got yours. Plus if no barrels for accessory program none to make you a whole gun I wouldnt think. Sidekicks are tentatively scheduled to be out in MId april they said to me on the phone. is where the barrels are going.

I posted this on a topic in the centerfire forum.
Yesterday they called me and miraculously all of my barrels have been fitted my 270 has been repaired and it was ready to ship..... We'll see.
I wonder if I had called to cancel sooner if I would have my gun back now. :twisted: :grin:

Does this mean that your Huntsman barrel was fitted as well?

Yes the Huntsman, the 45/70, the 223 and they finished the repair on my 270. The reason they called was to ask if I still wanted to cancel the order for the Huntsman barrel even though it had been fitted.
So I told them if it was already done then yes I would still take it.

Yeah but with all the info that you guys have given me I know where to start for powder, bullets, breach lube etc on the Huntsman and I have already loaded several versions of powder and bullet combinations to try out on the rifles. I can easily see a long day at the range. (now if only I had that Chrony that I want) :lol:

90 gr 777, 245 or 295 Powerbelt, any "bore butter" breech plug grease,
swab... 3 - 6 shots. Bore sight at 5 yds with your eye through the barrel.
You'll be on paper at 25 yds.... Take it from there. Great deer setup!!!!
Max = 1/2 hr...

I got my 243 back today with the huntsman barrel. I sent it in 2/19 and they received it on 2/23. Along with a huntsman receiver which I had a 12 guage barrel fitted. The huntsman has the Williams sites also. Looking forward to getting to the range this weekend with this and my new black diamond. Smoke will billow this weekend.
