Help with Ruger Redhawk Manual
« on: March 15, 2004, 06:24:17 AM »
I am interested in finding a gunsmithing shop manual for my Ruger Redhawk 41 mag.  I looked at midway and they have a book called

The Ruger Double Action Revolvers: A Shop Manual Volume 1" Book by Jerry Kuhnhausend  and it covers  troubleshooting and problem solving; timing; parts inspection and replacement; and complete repair and rebuilding of the Ruger Six-Series Double Actions - models include the Security-Six, Police Service-Six, and Speed-Six Double Action Revolvers.

What I am not sure of is that my redhawk falls in this catagory.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your Redhawk does NOT fall into this category, although it does bear design similarities.

Thanks,

RonF, do you have any idea if there is even a manual out there that would be for the Redhawk?

The book you saw is the first in a series of 2.  The second is supposed to cover the redhawk series..  It is not yet out...  They are the best books of this type I've seen..
