Thumbhole Stocks for Air Rifles?
« on: March 15, 2004, 11:39:59 AM »
Does anyone know where I could buy a thumbhole stock for a Gamo Hunter 220? Although the majority of people look down on Gamo Rifles I personally like mine. And I thought that I could improve on it by buying a thumbhole stock. But if no one makes a thumbhole stock for a Gamo Hunter 220 does anyone have any suggestions on a air rifle company that makes a 177 caliber rifle that has a velocity of at least 1000 fps that makes a rifle that has a thumbhole stock on it? Thanks
The 17 HMR is a hell of a round!!!

Go to http://www.air-arms.co.uk/frameset(sportingrilfes).htm and check out the Air Arms S400.  I am getting one in .22 caliber.  Lawdog

I don't know of ANY air rifle other than PCPs that are available with thumb-hole stocks..

Jim Maccari offers  stocks and do it yourself stocks - don't know if for Gamo but he should be able to help you out.

Try these links to several smiths.  If they don't do the work they can point you in the right direction.  Jim Maccari and Russ Best are both highly regarded among airgunners.  Good luck.  I've seen some spectacular custom stocks photos posted on the net.

Try theses 2 links to Jim Maccari’s custom shop
