I will go on record right here and now.   I always vote and I ALWAYS think about everything and everyone on the ballot in terms of what it will do to my guns and I ALWAYS vote with the best interest for the guns in mind.

YOU SHOULD TOO!!

Since BOTH of the current candidates for President are our enemy, just whom do you suggest we vote for?

That's an easy one for me.

Vote for the administration that YOU believe is the least likely to strip away the rest of you 2nd Amendment rights.

BamBam, you got my vote brother, unless Major runs against you.   Great!!!  Now I don't know who to vote for!

All B/S aside.  Anyone that votes for the Dummycrap party is no friend of mine or yours either.

Right on.  Which party does Schumer, Feinstein, Kennedy, Boxer, Waxman, belong to?  The list goes on, but they're ALL Democrats!   It's not a choice between a rock and a hard place, and it's not the Devil or the deep blue sea.  It's a choice between a sure thing and a fighting chance.

Who put in "the assault weapons ban" and  who has promised to sign its extension?

Which party promptly forgot that paty of its "Contract With America" was a contract with us?

You're an idiot if you put any faith in either party.

As the old saying goes, "Lord protect me from my friends; I can deal with my enemies myself".

Your right.  There's only ONE place to put your faith, and that is in the man upstairs, BUT this is about choices.  We may not find any candidate to our personal liking, but one should still attempt to vote for the administration which they believe will better serve America. To not vote, is a shame for any American in my opinion.

While I DO NOT like everything he does, GW is trying to keep the war on terror on foreign soil and he is trying to protect me.   While I do not like the assault weapons ban or it’s extension, it has not stopped me from owning other firearms… there are those that will take away ALL GUNS.

Right now we need to get more of the right kinds of people in the Legislature and Senate.    They are the ones that make the laws… and can even override the President if they have enough votes on an issue.   That is where the real threat to our guns is.   It’s so easy to blame the guy at the top when he inherited most of these problems and in the big picture is trying to solve them as best as he can with the Congress he has to work with.

So very true Major.  Let's not forget about the Supreme Court justices either.  I'd rather have Bush pick a few, than Kerry.

I vote for Gun rights period and it has made me into a local gun advocate. I have written more letters to the paper than you can shake a stick at. I bet the liberals think I am a gun nut well I guess they are right on that account and I attack them every chance I get!! NO all the parties are not perfect but I would have to Vote Republican over the Democrats every time unless a anti gun Rep ran against a pro gun Dem and I find that unlikely though I guess it could happen. I figured after slick willie that the Dems could do no worse. I was wrong!!! Slick willie was a draft dodger this is true and a anti gun pro UN liberal but to me a  puke like Kerry who did wear the uniform and then disgrace it at  anti war rallies makes him a worse liberal than the slickster and that is lower than whale crap in my book. Kerry also is anti gun and pro UN so to me he is the slickster reborn and even worse in my book if you can get any worse. !! If Kerry would get in God Help us as we will need it!!    Jim

You are so right BamBams.   God help us if the democrats place the next few Supreme Court justices… then there would be no justice at all.   Just a dictatorship backed by the Supreme Court.

Leftover
Bush is not my enemy, he has my vote always.  The man is honest and does what he says he will.  That means a lot to me.  Is he a polotician?  Yes but he has values and stands by them.  No one will have all your values nor mine but we vote for the one that is closest.

Handirifle, That about sums it up the way I feel also. Bush may not be perfect but he goes along way from what we have had recently. He has my vote also!! Jim

To put it very simply, I am a One-Issue Voter.  Guess which one?  In my mind, any politician who is pro-gun rights probably agrees with me on most other issues.  Do I like Bush?  Yup, good solid, patriotic, God-fearing American.  Do I like everything he's done.  NO!  Is Kerry the antichrist?  Yes, I think he is.  He is a lying, traitorous, greedy, backstabbing liberal democrat of the worst sort.  He is arrogant, elitist, dishonest, and deceitful.  And personally, I think anyone who is pro-U.N. is anti-American.

The Dillon article was right.  If you don't vote, you're a lazy idiot.  This is no time for complacency.  Register, spread the gospel, and VOTE!   :x

Bam Bams...
You scare me! Just think about any judge having a brain like Teddy...a brain that is an alcohol soaked lump of horse defecation.....Brrrr

   PappaJohn;
Right on...only a dyed-in-the-wool socialist/Marxist would be sold on the UN (usewless nothing). They are useless in front of any real challenge
and have done nothing to aid the United States in relation to terrorist nations and/or Communist nations...
The last time the UN challenged Commies was in Korea and even then it (the UN) was only half-hearted in that effort!
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

While I have made my position very clear… it’s sure nice to know I am not alone.

As for Scary Kerry:

Is John Kerry strong on defense?

He voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle
He voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank
He voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988
He voted to kill the Aegis anti aircraft system
He voted to Kill the F-15 strike eagle
He voted to Kill the Block 60 F-16
He voted to Kill the P-3 Orion upgrade
He voted to Kill the B-1
He voted to Kill the B-2
He voted to Kill the Patriot anti Missile system
He voted to Kill the FA-18
He voted to Kill the B-2
He voted to Kill the F117

In short, he voted to kill every military appropriation for the development and deployment of every weapons systems since 1988 to include the battle armor for our troops.

With Kerry as president our Army will be made up of naked men running around with sticks and clubs.

He also voted to kill all anti terrorism activities of every agency of the U.S. Government and to cut the funding of the FBI by 60%, to cut the funding for the CIA by 80%, and cut the funding for the NSA by 80%.

But then he voted to increase OUR funding for U.N operations by 800%!!!

Is THIS a President YOU want?

Don't take my word for it-look it up yourself!!

And as papajohn428 said “And personally, I think anyone who is pro-U.N. is anti-American.”   I have to agree 100%, what he does I think is traitorous and he should be hung, not elected.

OK, I will get off my soap box now.
