Nice group.  I'm looking for a heavy bullet load for mine.  What was the distance, and was that with open sights, or with a scope?  Does your Marlin have Microgroove or cut rifling?  Any idea on the velocity?

My 1894 44Mag is a newer gun.It carries a Leupold 1x4 20mm scope
All my shots at deer are at <20yds so i site in at 25yds at my club. This 1894 also has a decellerator recoil pad. This is one of my favorite shooting leverguns.Try this load for yourself!Federal also loads the CP 300gr bullet in their castcore 44Mag ammo.
