Anyone have a Glock 17L (longslide)
« on: March 16, 2004, 06:32:24 PM »
Do any of you have a Glock 17L? Or have you ever shot one? I'm thinking about getting a 9mm for plinking.  I already have two Glock's, a model 22 and a model 27 (both 40 S&W). I like the idea of the six inch barrel on the 17L. Other then barrel length, whats the difference between the model 17L and the model 34? Thanks. :-)

The only difference is the slide length. Also the 17L and 24 don't have the beveling at the end of the slide like the 34/35. I recently bought a beat up old 24. The serial #'s on the slide, frame and barrel don't match. I like it though. It handles better than a 34/35 IMO. 17L's are hard to find as they are now 'limited availability' in the U.S. If you can find one, snatch it up! I'm thinking of converting my 24 to 9mm. 6" of barrel should squeeze every bit of power out of the 9mm and the extra sight radius is nice.
