Encore 220 swift bull barrel
« on: March 17, 2004, 05:55:55 AM »
I have just put a 26" heavy barrel on layaway and was wondering what experiences people have had with this combination?  Is it a shooter or a dud?  Since I have it on layaway I could switch to a 22-250 but really like the 220 swift.

Any good loads people want to share let me know.  I would like to shoot Nosler 50 BT's.

Thanks,

Josh

Both are excellent choices and I personally wouldn't change now cause I like a swift. I shoot a 22-250 so go figure..........Is it a TC barrel or an aftermarket custom.

It's a TC barrel.  Wish I could afford a aftermarket barrel.

My 220 Swift T/C Custom shop barrel has put 5 shots in a dime at 100 Yards. I could not belive it would shot that good. Now, every group is not that good but I have down it once. That was not with a worked up rounds. Just picked a middle range load and went with it.You will be happy with the 220 Swift. Twyman
