A little preaching
« on: March 17, 2004, 03:14:16 PM »
I am kinda lost in a thought right now. I am very grateful for the grace Christ Jesus poured out for me. I am shamed by my deeds, my sin, my pride but I am most ashamed of the idol I have put up before him.
I have put a nation up as as an idol, I have bowed at the knees and professed a man made government to be the source of meeting my needs, my salvation, my supply, my strength.
This nation, while founded on very ideal thoughts, Is held together by God. We have forgotten that this nation does not support Heaven but Heaven supports this nation.
We have forgotten that the Lord our God is not in need of this nation, we cannot thwart or hinder Gods will nor is he in need of us, as a nation, to make his plans come to fruition.
The people of this nation need the Lord. The people of this nation need to turn their face towards the Lord and let him lead us. We are a fallen, degenerate people, we have gone our own way expecting the Servant, God, to meet our ever whimsical lust, and desire.
We need a greater awakening than ever has been needed before. We are not Christian because we are Americans.
Do not pass the plate, bow your knees and ask Christ Jesus to reveal himself too you. Seek his face. Ask him to show yourself to you. Listen to him as he speaks, be thankful for his mercy, kindness. Give yourself over too him, make him your Lord and master.
Not everone will, maybe not everone can--But if the Lord is ministering to you at this moment, bow before him and accept him as God, Savior and redeemer.
Blessings
TEXAS, by GOD
