Gary Reeder Contender

I have a Contender frame that was represented as a Gary Reeder custom frame.  It is satin chrome and has a bear engraved or etched on the side plates.  It has an awesome trigger pull, and is of the latest generation with the selector on the hammer.  I contacted Gary Reeder and he cannot confirm that it is one of his, but says it could be.  He did so many while in Florida, he cannot be sure.  I am not going to keep this frame, and am hoping someone here can shed some light on it as to value and to be able to confirm or not confirm it being a Gary Reeder.

Any information would be appreciated.

Interesting.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought 'smiths were supposed to record serial numbers in their books, and if so, then he should be able to have a look at his records and see if this is one of his or not.  Now, I realize this might be some work and that he might want a research fee, but it should be possible.
