Our South Texas Hog Hunt
« on: March 21, 2004, 12:12:08 PM »
The hog hunt at http://www.huntingwithjeff.com/ was a huge success from my point of view. I was lucky enough to shoot 6 hogs the first evening's hunt with only 5 shots from my 444S. Jack shot 2 and missed one with his 450 and RanchDog hunted Aoudad.

A great time was had by all and I sincerely believe we will have future hunts together. RanchDog is just like you think he is from his writings on these forums. A great outdoorsman and fine man's man.

Will post pics when I learn how and will do a detailed write up at that time. I will say this, our guide, Nick was surprised at our leverguns, their accuracy and the way we handled and shot them when he checked us out at the range before the hunt. I used a Night Blaster light for my hunt. When he came to pick me up after the first evening's hunt and saw the dead hogs all over the place, all with neck shots but one that I shot between the eyes he was estatic. He said "Wow those are real pig guns!"  :)

How did I get over the hill without getting to the top?
