Wow, don't know the price but that is one shootin' 44! I had a 4x Leupold on mine and the thing was like carrying a light rifle but boy, what a shooter. The chambers were all within a .002 range and no endplay on the cylinder. Swinging the crane latch was like opening the gun of a battleship. Mine was a 7" barrel. If you get it priced right, buy it!

Check Gun Broker and Guns America and see what they're selling for there.  Will give an idea.

I have one with a 7 1/2" barrel.  They are going for about $500 around here.  I am trying to sell mine for $390.  To bad you do not live around here, maybe we could work a deal.  I do think Longshot is coming down your way shortly to go hog hunting again.

Chris

I agree with you on the on-line stuff.  That is why I do not even advertise guns that require a FFL transfer on-line.  Was not sure about the face to face with an out of state seller which was why I mentioned it.  Who knows, before it is over I might even keep it.  I had my GP100 sold also and the guy did not pay me last Friday so I loaded up some 180 gr XTP's I had left over from that 375 Max and shot them Sunday.  It shot so good that the GP100 is now staying with me.  Glad the guy did not have the money!

All you do for a face to face, out of state transaction is the gun comes to the buyer and you both meet at a predetermined FFL holder for transfer. The gun gets carried across state lines being locked in the trunk without having a single piece of ammunition and all is legal.

Well I have the SBH in 44mag 7.5" s/s barrel, and a RedHawk 5.5" s/s in 44 mag. I am thinking the RedHawk is the better gun.(once you tune it up). I am thinking of bailing out of my Taurus M44 8.3/4". Its a good shooter, But I would trade it for the7.5 RedHawk, have the 5.5" redhawk sent to Mag-Port for some help.
