Army Sgt Convicted of Murder in Austin Texas
« on: April 10, 2023, 01:24:34 AM »
Daniel Perry was delivering an Uber customer in downtown Austin Texas on the edge of a BLM protest mob in 2020. Garrett Foster an Air Force veteran was participating in the BLM protest carrying an AK47. A group blocked Perry's vehicle from leaving and was beating on it when Foster pointed his AK47 at Perry. Perry shot Foster killing him.

Perry did nothing wrong, was well within his rights and Texas Law of self defense, but liberal Austin ignored Texas law and filed on him for murder. A liberal Austin jury convicted him last week.

Governor Gregg Abbott has said he will immediately PARDON HIM upon sentencing.

Austin  Houston, Dallas and Collin County. 4 shitholes.

What a bunch of horseshit!

Good on the governor for his response, but will a pardon clear his name?  If not, damage is done, and his 2A rights are still trashed.

When the conviction is pardoned, it goes completely away.

Leftists and their cities are ruining everything...  Governor or attorney general should speak up..  Fortunately, you have a decent governor and attorney general, so something may well be done.

The Governor and Attorney General have been on the news saying that he will be pardoned, and the Austin da will be investigated for violation of Texas law.

Truly a shame
As far as I know, all the problems there
are what's plaguing the rest of the formerly
decent places to live. An influx of out of
staters moving in and bringing their commie
mindset with them, thinking that things
will be different even though they vote the
same and voice the same ideas
State government here gets worse every year

..Exactly why you want to avoid living in the blue areas.  If you must some day defend yourself, you definitely want to face a "jury of your peers"..that is, sensible and logical people.. not those butter heads to be found in the leftist big cities or counties..

Three cheers for Gov Abbott and his AG !

As for me...I will as much as possible, steer clear of the blue areas..  Why imperil oneself?

I am truly surprised, that what's been taking place in the last few years, some street justice hasn't taken place. And I don't mean to the criminal. I'm talking about a father or grandfather who's child/grandkid was attacked by an animal that should have been in jail, but was released because of political correctness. The prosecutor or judge might get a talking to and told the error of his ways.

Hasn't been sentenced yet. Then the pardon.

Thanks ... that's the whole point of the power of the pardon, to correct injustice. Austin is like a tumor; praying it doesn't metastasize.

DFW has been bad for quite
some time. Houston received
the dregs from nola after the
big hurricane. Lots of criminals
mixed in with the innocent people
that said their records and identification
were swept away and lost during
the hurricane.  A good many
ended up in DFW.  The district
attorney and some of the last police
chiefs have been BLM sympathizers
and the homicide and theft rates
went through the roof.
There's a career criminal on the other
side of the street that just got out of
jail after his latest stay. The family
enables and makes excuses and the
judicial system here doesn't do anything
to deter these pinheads, so the
average resident is just sol
