you guys know im a catholic and this really angers me. biden the (pretend) catholic has done more harm to my church then any president in history. he can support abortion, homo's and now even take freedom of religion from vets. Only one that pisses my off more is this liberal pos pope we have right now that best case scenario turns a blind eye to people like biden and pelosi and worse case actually support these sins!!! he is as crooked as the democrats too. he has put people in power positions to insure this liberal bs continues when he dies. mark my words he will abdicate so that he will be alive to use his influence to hand pick a replacement that will be even more liberal. that wat the history books wont blame him for the death of the catholic church

  I am not a Catholic, but this is outrageous !!  Veterans who served their nation honorably, deserve to have their last rites administered as they always have.
  It is a signal of the rot to be found deep down in the Democrats in general.  That they should deprive these veterans of their final comfort is depravity by the numbers.

     Such times as this, only demonstrate how myself as a Biblical Christian, holds much more in common with Roman Catholics, than this

I suppose "last rites" is important to the catholic, as a tradition. I really don't know anything about what "last rires" consists of, so in that regard I'm ignorant.

I don't expect ANYTHING positive from that bunch of heathens in DC so I'm not surprised  at anything they do.

That said, I  believe that death is something that is a one on ONE with God, so if those Veterans are SAVED by the Grace of Christ through their own Faith, this contract cancelation with the catholic will have no affect on the veterans Salvation or destination.

I understand the resentment of the government intrusion, but the government, like privately owned  businesses, run things the way  they  see fit, so I would say that, if one doesn't like this move by the Veterans Administration, don't go there, go to a civilian hospital, or facility where they do things the way you're like-minded.

I'm not going to let this thread turn into an argument on religious beliefs. It makes no difference what You or I believe about someones faith practices. Last rights has been ministered by Priests since the beginning of the church as far as I know. Lets keep this on topic without giving our opinions about someones faith.

Saturday, I received a letter from the VA. Included in this was a pamphlet instructing Veterans on how to conduct themselves when at a VA facility. Included in this was a list of....... PROHIBITED BEHAVIORS, HARRASSMENT  AND SEXUAL ASSAULT

intentionally misgendering
crude gestures

Changing Hospitals, or Religion isn't going to stop the advancement of communism in our government, and this sure looks like an attempt to advance the process. JMO!

Well let's see. You start a thread concerning the VAs cancelation of the contract with catholic priests and their ministry to the elderly. THEIR "RELIGIOUS BELIEFS".!

Then you threaten me after a post I made concerning the topic, which is DENYING VETERANS ACCESS TO THEIR "RELIGIOUS BELIEFS".

like i said im one because the title carried over from the old forum. i wouldnt think of locking a thread or deleting a post here without discussing it with bill first. take a look at the facts. i think your the first of the old moderators thats moderated here in years. Id say just the opposite. if bill wants me to police this forum like was done on the old one then im sure he would have asked years ago because there are fights every week here. that is the beauty of this forum. your pretty much allowed to speak your mind. if you have thin skin and are the type that crys to a moderator this is the wrong place for you to hang out. when someone really steps over the line (and sometimes thats me) bill will delete the post or lock the thread. little bit of advice. if you feel the need to ply moderator do it right. delete the post and contact bill. a moderator shouldnt be drug into a pissing match.

do you have that link dee? i didnt see that anywhere. remember too that saying there going to do something isnt doing it. this administration has taken lying and deflection to levels never seen before. its easy for them to say there hiring a new provider and then waiting to the story cools and in the end hope enough really dont care. If the were going to do this they should have had a different service provider ready to roll.

this looks a lot like afganistan. make a move with no after plan or thought to the people it effects. this is a blatant attack on Christianity. No doubt attempted payback for the catholic protests against pro choice and the atheists wanting God taken out of every aspect of our lives. its like gun control try to justify it or turn your back to it because its not your church (the type of gun you own) and when the left gets this victory there new target tomorrow could very well be you.  they dont just want catholics and ar15s gone they want all Christians silenced and all guns gone. trying to justify this is trying to justify socialism

I was looking at the link provided by TW. According to Walter Reed there are plenty of catholic priests there, and nobody has missed anything.

  I preach at a nursing home and am now handing the ministry to my grandson.  No "company" is involved, and no contract, beyond a verbal agreement.

   ..Been about 20 years now... that works for me...just as it apparently did for the apostles..  

  BTW: I still keep on mind that where government is concerned, things will be unnecessarily foolish.

Well, nw_hunters link could be "fishy" also, and just be "sour grapes" by the dropped provider. Your comparison of a small nursing home, and Walter Reed Hospital is hardly comparable, as things at Walter Reed are done on a much larger scale.

To me, ALL LINKS are fishy until compared to other sources, and while I believe TW delites in stirring you and a couple others up, his link makes as much sense as nw_hunters.

   Two main problems as I see it..
 
 1) Priests should not be charging for such services...  Just my two cents..take it or trash it !


 2) There is no way a "secular defense contracting firm" can replace the church. Who is that "firm" and who runs it?
     ..And how about the separation clause?
