From Lloyd;
"if i have a question about a tank i come to you. the way we walk with Jesus is much different. its a very personal thing. most here dont like being lectured or being told there doing it wrong or are wrong because they dont share the meaning of something in the bible with you. Nobody here looking to be told there wrong and id bet even Jesus would give you a talking to about you constantly bragging on your qualifications. vanity is a sin and id bet at least most of us Christians already have a priest or pastor and didnt come to an outdoors site to find a new one. maybe follow team nelsons example. ive been here for MANY years and theres no one i respect more. he knows the bible at least as well as you. he went about it in a better way. IF THERE WAS A QUESTION he answered it. he never bragged about his qualifications . matter of fact many didnt even know he was a pastor. never once heard him brag. he knew no one came here to be saved and at the age most of us are your not going to change there beliefs so unless your answering a specific question someone else asked your just beating your chest and my teachings call that a sin. just like in this post that you felt the need to tell us your qualifications AGIAN. i dont dislike you and for the most part we get along. but only speaking for myself i think your religion posts get a bit old. not tm7 old but old non the les"

Lloyd; if I came across as being arrogant I apologize, because it was not meant that way. Frankly, Q & A is a very old way of carrying on such a discussion. It was a regular practice in pre-Christian synagogues a d found it's way into the Christian church
It was the primary way of sharing exegesis and extending one's knowledge..before the 'received text' was even received..
I also share respect for TN, especially because I know he has "paid his dues" to be in a pastoral position.
As I have often said, I like to go to those who have experience in the field into which I wish to inquire...it only makes good sense.
I am not 'bragging' on any qualifications.. I only repeated them because you did not seem to hear or acknowledge same. I come from a discipline, where the Bible is regularly discussed, examined and utilized in every way, seeking truth! ...But I guess not everyone feels the same.
That doesn't mean I quit trying, someday I may find some real "seekers"..
"Nobody came here to be saved and nobody wants to hear such opinions"... Best way to avoid that discussions ,is to not participate in them, and assuming "nobody" wants to hear same ..nobody covers a great many people , who neither you nor i can answer for.
As far as Jesus giving me a "talking to"..He does that every day, through his word...our best source for such knowledge. ..But again..neither you or I can speak for Him..in that manner.
Yes, I try to open discussions concerning Biblical questions, so we can all participate, and in that way , gain knowledge or vision.
Sadly though, it seems few wish to discuss Biblical truths.
Perhaps there are few here who are concerned with being saved, but one soul plucked from the fire, is a blessing.
So disagree if you wish..but how about th e"mutual respect" i spoke of ..no accusations, pejoratives or trying to shame anyone?
