Should have an OBD test port
under the steering wheel underneath
the edge of the dash
Find somebody with a quality
test meter or blankety blanking
enoz otua should have one and
they used to check it for free.
I'll tell you right off the bat that
if something is plugged in there
or some aftermarket alarm or
sound system or something is
wired in, that needs to be checked
first before spending any time and
money on it. We had a good many
hard to find problems with those
gizmos that companies like progressive
would plug in to the OBD port to
"check " how good of a driver you were.
The OBD and the circuitry isn't designed
to have something plugged in constantly.
You probably also want to test your
battery and alternator to make sure
you're not getting any voltage spikes.
Thoroughly check the battery ground
cable for corrosion and make sure
it's completely clean with a clean
corrosion free connection to the battery
post terminal. Also make sure the ground
cable is completely sound and doesn't
have any green corrosion at either
connection. If it's not 100%, it'll have to
be replaced
