   You have a cogent point Ranger, and we see it in action every day. Those involved deeply in sin, know instinctively that they are wrong, and in violation of the laws of God and nature.  Yet they are so involved, and hooked so badly, that they don't want to give up their sin.

  So, instead of giving up their sin and seeking forgiveness and reconciliation with God, they choose to fight him.  ..A losing battle if there ever was one.
