Although many of the 67A Winchesters had a peep sight, mine did not, but rather it had a regular, dovetail mounted, just as the photo in the link I offered.
The interesting peep sight story was with my stevens 66B. When I got it, it had no rear sight..and my LGS friend told me that if I found the original peep sight, it would probably cost more than the rifle did.
My brother and I happened by a gun show about a month later, where I found in a dealer's "junk box' a peep sight that looked about right. I asked the lady.."how much"?
She said $20.."fine, I'll take it".. When she cashed me out she said $15 will be fine... I don't flatter myself that it was my
'good looks', she may just have felt benevolent that day.
Anyway, I took it home, and it fit perfectly, only finding out by later search that it is exactly the right one. That peep has a revolving
disc that offers 3 different size apertures..
See also, the Marbles Bullseye, like the none I once had mounted on the Stevens. I cannot recommend it enough for an option.
I only lost it because the dovetail it was to fit into was not 3/8", and not being the gunsmith my grandson is, I did a poor job of filing
it out..and lost the sight.
