New to Encores

I just ordered my first T/C yesterday- a SS encore 209x50. I was wondering if the contender barrels fit the encore? I plan on getting a win. 270 barrel for it also for deer hunting. I'm excited!

No they don't.  Encore goes with Encore and Contender with Contender.  But if you want a 270 barrel, it only comes in the Encore a/c of being a high pressure round.  Basically Contender calibers are lower pressure and Encore are higher pressure.  Enjoy your new coming obsession. :wink:

sorry two very different guns that look a lot alike contender barrels only fit the contender/g2 line--encore frames /  barrels will handle much heavier loads than the contender will. but the contender will take most game except for the largest in north america and there are some who are expert shots with their contender that could take anything in north america
