As explained in the OP, it is a form of a serving platter.  More for the "arts & croissants" folks, who are willing to pay for something original and unique.

 Oops! My bad...my mistake..  I guess my tongue got tangled around my eye teeth, and I couldn't see what I was saying..

  I have corrected the second sentence now, replacing "isn't", with "is"..
