When the target is feral wild hogs, I see no need to be sporting.  If you want to take them in a sporting manner, that is fine.


Last fall my cousin's husband told me that he and some friends had killed 43 hogs in just a few hours.  A rice farmer had asked them to come over and bring their rifles.  They got most of the hogs that were flushed out of one field as the rice was harvested.  That was just one field out of thousands of acres of rice in the Stuttgart area.

From what I understand, it is not so much a sporting proposition as an economic challenge for Texas farmers and ranchers among others  They are a remarkably invasive species, and to save their farms and ranches, they must be eradicated.

        If one has to deal with any invasive species, be it cockroaches,  termites boll weevil or fire ants, being sporting about it, would be a consideration
   way down the list of priorities.

  Texas is not alone with the hog problem. Several southern states as well as Hawaii are dealing with the same scourge..

  BTW: Which Democrat would look as competent doing the same task?  Certainly not Joe or Kamela, they probably would fall lout of the chopper and would have to be picked up before they become food for those hogs..
