If one lives in a separate reality/fantasy world where climate change doesn’t exist I could see how this seems crazy.

Seen the headline this morning, didn't want to spoil my cup of coffee getting my blood pressure up, so didn't read the article until just now. Far as I can tell, just another way to build government, more tax's and control. Scarecrow is just a puppet bouncing around spouting off about things he absolutely has no clue of what he's talking about!! And the VP isn't any better. Globalists are going to push harder, the closer to election, or when Scarecrow has a complete breakdown in public even MSM can't cover up. Which, the way he's wandering about and blabbering on, just might not be that far off.

All you have to do to believe the tragedy of global warming is look how many of their predictions are coming true.  The rising oceans have wiped out cities all over the earth.  Major rivers have dried up.  It's the end of the world.  Wait a minute, those of us who have been around for eighty years, or more have seen warmer and colder times.  So yes, climates change back and forth and there is very little humans can do about it.  That's not to say that we shouldn't try to do better when there truly is something practical that can be done that doesn't require unproven radical change in the way we live.

After spending billions for, and failing to fix, homelessness, why are we to believe that if we just send them more tax dollars they will be able to lower the temperature of the earth?

Instead, those so worried about greenhouse gasses and global warming, climate change, sorry forgot the last line of shat, should do the right thing and jump off a bridge and save the world from their toxic contributions to this travesty as that is what their indoctrinators want, which is population reduction... Don’t expect your leaders to follow suit, poor Gretchen may as she is seriously confused...

After spending billions for, and succeeding at scientific endeavors like atomic bombs and moon landings, why shouldn’t we believe that we have the technology and fortitude to address and solve climate change for our kids.

Brainwashing is an amazing thing. Jim Jones got over 900 people to commit suicide. Plymouth Rock is still high and dry after 500 years. There are paintings of the Thames River being frozen over in the 1850's. Settlements in Greenland are being discovered after being froze over for a thousand years. A couple of the worst hurricanes were recorded in the early 1900's. IF, anyone, including Greta, wants to put their money where their mouth is, go to India, Pakistan and China and tell them to quit polluting the environment and causing climate change. Oh wait, they'll tell you, put it where the sun doesn't shine, and that will stop the climate change. If you still believe it'll help, send your money to Al Gore and Greta's parents. They need a new mansion and a couple new cars!

probably your stupidest post yet. you have to be here just to stir the pot. I cant see any sane person thinking this unbelievably insane idea is sound. If you think this is ok then you have to also think its ok for russia and china to alter the weather under the pretense that they care about global warming. what do you think there reaction to biden doing this without there input would be? I swear theres people like you that if biden said global warming would decrease if you kissed your neighbors ass would drop to your knees in a second. comical thing is there's a few like you that would like to do it for no reason

I disagree that these types of people have been brain washed. In most cases, their parents, grand parents, ect were all democrats, which leads me to believe that they come from a long line of stupid .

Of course that's just my opinion.

Anymore many of our schools of higher learning are very adept at brainwashing. It even starts in our government run K-12 schools.  Sometimes people's thoughts and ideas can be changed when they are shown the truth, and can reason with some common sense, but stupid liberals are incapable of that, and the herd of stupid liberals seems to be growing.

One has to wonder if "stupid" is the right descriptor for those who are pushing so hard for something that is so easy to refute and disprove.  In some cases, yes a lack of intelligence and reason does explain the matter.  In other cases and maybe the majority of proponents are determined to preach their version of misery in hopes of making everyone toe their version of distress.  And then there is the political angle that is purely the longing for unchallenged power and greed.

In 1989, the first story about global warming was written.  In this story, they said we only had 10 years to decrease carbon emissions.  Hmm, 34 years years later we only have 10 years to decrease carbon emissions.  Back then, switching to natural gas for power production was the so called "ace in the hole".  Now, natural gas produces more power than coal nationwide.  Also, now natural gas is one of the enemies.

Producing and driving an electric car for the life of the car produces 39 tons of carbon in the air.  A gasoline car producing and driving a gasoline car for the life of the car produces about 60 tons of carbon in the air.  Hmm.  Driving electric only cuts carbon dioxide by 1/3 over a gasoline car.  Producing includes mining, smelting metal, and manufacturing the car.  All this requires carbon based fuels right now.

Been going on a little longer than that.

In 1824, Joseph Fourier calculated that an Earth-sized planet, at our distance from the Sun, ought to be much colder. He suggested something in the atmosphere must be acting like an insulating blanket. In 1856, Eunice Foote discovered that blanket, showing that carbon dioxide and water vapor in Earth's atmosphere trap escaping infrared (heat) radiation.

In the 1860s, physicist John Tyndall recognized Earth's natural greenhouse effect and suggested that slight changes in the atmospheric composition could bring about climatic variations. In 1896, a seminal paper by Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius first predicted that changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels could substantially alter the surface temperature through the greenhouse effect.

In 1938, Guy Callendar connected carbon dioxide increases in Earth’s atmosphere to global warming. In 1941, Milutin Milankovic linked ice ages to Earth’s orbital characteristics. Gilbert Plass formulated the Carbon Dioxide Theory of Climate Change in 1956.

Coal companies have known about climate change for a while:
In 1966 a coal industry research organization, Bituminous Coal Research Inc., published its finding that if then prevailing trends of coal consumption continue, "the temperature of the earth's atmosphere will increase and that vast changes in the climates of the earth will result." "Such changes in temperature will cause melting of the polar icecaps, which, in turn, would result in the inundation of many coastal cities, including New York and London."[67] In a discussion following this paper in the same publication, a combustion engineer for Peabody Coal, now Peabody Energy, the world's largest coal supplier, added that the coal industry was merely "buying time" before additional government air pollution regulations would be promulgated to clean the air.

You do realize you just made our point on this topic. Every one of those scientists you put on that post were long before any ''human'' involvement in climate change could have made a difference!! How many cars, plane's and people have been added since 1956? If these ''scientists'' were studying this back in the 1820's, 1930's, it's been changing since the world began.

CO2 levels have always been changing. It’s no coincidence that the historic rapid rate of rise we’re experiencing is directly related to burning fossil fuels.

Remember the scientists claiming global cooling and a coming ice age in the 70's?  Of course all due to mans burning of fossil fuels. Then when those that were hell bent on transferring wealth through the global cooling lie, didn't see the earth cooling off. The same paid off scientists changed their story to global warming.  The leaders of the global warming scam have even admitted that its all about a transfer of wealth.  Can't people see that it us the United States that it is going to be the most costly for? All the while the CCP builds new coal fired power plants with us shipping them coal.  How stupid can people be? Obviously pretty stupid?

Instead of reading comic books and People Magazine in the 70’s you should have been reading scientific journals. The vast majority of climate papers in the 1970s predicted warming.
