Why READING books is important..
« on: July 02, 2023, 01:17:25 AM »
Larry Alex Taunton points out how important it is to actually READ books, rather than to just 'take somebody's word' for it.

Taunton, a well published author and political observer points out that if Germans had actually READ "MEIN KAMPF"..they would not have fallen
   for Hitler's junk.

He also says that if people would actually read the Koran, Islam would not be growing as it is...

...And can a person claim to be a Christian, unless he has read the Bible, has a good grasp of it's content and continually refer to it ?

He mentioned these things in a preface to speaking about the writings of Saul Alinsky.   Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and how many other
socialists, consider Alinsky as their mentor?

If we study at least some of Alinsky's writings, we would perhaps better understand the madness now gripping our culture..  Alinsky points out how to crash any culture, in order to institute Marxism..

Here are those points, and where we stand..

ALINSKY’S EIGHT STEPS FROM DEMOCRACY TO SOCIALIST SOCIETY
Posted by Esther Goodday | Sep 16, 2016 | Top Stories | 20

Take Heed that no man deceives you!

This is based on Alinsky’s eight steps from democracy to socialist society.

Obama quotes him often in his book and Hillary did her thesis on Alinsky.

ALMOST DONE.  JUST ONE ELECTION DECIDES OUR FATE…         ALMOST THERE

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist/communist State.  The first is the most important
5 OF THE 8 ARE DONE – THE LAST 3 ARE ALMOST THERE

1.  Healthcare: “Control Healthcare and you control the People”              DONE !!

2  Poverty:  Increase the Poverty level as high as possible.”  Poor People are easier to control and will not fight back if the government is providing everything for them to live.                            DONE!!!

3.  Debt: Increase the National Debt to an unsustainable level.”  That way you are able to increase Taxes, and this will produce more Poverty.                                                                                         DONE!!!

4.  Gun Control:  Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government.  That way you are able to create a Police State – total local control.                                                                    ALMOST THERE!!!

5.  Welfare:  Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Livestock, Housing, and Income).          DONE!!!

6.  Education:  Take control of what People read & listen to; take control of what Children learn in School.
ALMOST THERE!!!

7.  Religion: Remove faith in God from the Government and Schools.
ALMOST THERE!!!

8.  Class Warfare:  Divide the People into the Wealthy against the Poor.  Racially divide. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to Tax the Wealthy with full support of
the voting Poor.
DONE!!!   The bases are all covered!  We are ripe!     Esther Goodday   believe the Democrats President will nail  the coffin shut on the United States of America.

Alinsky said they must tear down and destroy the present system, to install their system.

Every stupid, population dividing thing, from gender confusion to "white privilege" and LGBTQ are all methods employed to destroy the present
system, so they can in stall Marx's dream.. (and the people's nightmare)

Good in theory I suppose, but it all depends on what you read.

What to read is covered in the  first few lines of the post.... what most people don't do, read the books.

As Taunton says, go right to the source..  MEIN KAMPF to understand Hitler's Nazism, THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO or DAS KAPITAL, to weigh Marx
.... and the BIBLE, to better understand God !

There are other good, first-person accounts like...
    https://www.amazon.com/Marx-Satan-Richard-Wurmbrand/dp/0891073795/ref=sr_1_1 hvadid=657261756952&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9005448&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=1

The foundation book would be the Bible, and when we understand that we are struggling against " principalities and powers" that are far beyond
our own power, the better we will navigate today's craziness.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
: "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world."  (Eph 6:12)

I believe we all must have taken a clue..noticing that those who struggle against us, are chiefly unbelievers.  We all seem to yearn for a "higher power', or authority figure. When one turns his back on God...he searches for a replacement...and Satan waits in the wings..

I know what it says, but mixing RINO writings, with true conservatism and calling it conservatism, isn't conservatism.

Mixing non-Christian writings, (and material) with true Christian scriptures (and material) and calling it Christianity, isn't Christianity.

Like I said: It depends on what you choose to read , which requires "dedicated discernment" to recognize the differences. Otherwise, many folks are the little chrome ball in the machine with the flippers.

Reading is fundamental but comprehension is important too.
Saul Alinsky did not draft an eight-step plan for world conquest, or the creation of a “social state”. These quotes attributed to him on social media are false.

Iggy,
No doubt you’ll agree that reading is an awesome way to differentiate between what is real and what we think is real. Ever read (and comprehend) any scientific research on climate change?
Of all the published scientific research on climate change, 97% of the papers conclude that global warming is real, problematic for the planet, and has been exacerbated by human activity. The other 3% contain errors :)

We know the climate changes over the years, decades, centuries and millenniums.  The only debate surrounds what causes it.

The Commie-leftists have chosen to blame ourselves and industrialization for any change. Problem with that is, that radical climate changes have
occurred, long before there was any real industrialization, and long before the blessings petroleum was being exploited.

The obvious proof of a false narrative concerning carbon caused climate change, is how it's proponents prove they don't believe what they are
    selling.
E.g. The leaders of this Marxist play for power, have recently singled out coal or wood fired pizza ovens in NY City, as endangering to the ecology.

At the same time, people like John Kerry, Barack Obama, and all those delegates to the WEF, fly their butts around the world on jet planes, each
flight of which, adds more hydro carbons to our atmosphere, than 2,000 years of  one of those pizza ovens would do.

Then there are those "climate change" gurus (Gore, Obama etc.) who have proclaimed that our seacoasts would be inundated with 20' of sea
water...then they went out and bought waterfront homes.  https://news.yahoo.com/climate-activists-invest-property-beaches-110000244.html

How often does one have to commit a LIE..before we write them off as LIARS ?  Below, some of the properties recently purchased by "climate change" avocates.  Why even Mary Nesbitt, chair of the Obama foundation, recently bought a Hawiian beach property for $8.7 million..

IG: The comment that “it depends on what you read” is very true. We tend to read things, if we read at all, that support our beliefs.
Read what your enemies have written. Read things that you may find unpleasant or diffiicult. TW asked IG if he had read any research regarding climate change…read the research not read about the research….. Correct me if I am wrong but apparently he has not.
I try to stay current with the pros and cons of topics discussed here. It isnt easy. In this day and age there is more info all the time.

Correction; I have read some of the eco-freak writings, but in the long run, there is truly no need, since we get "spoon fed" the left's propaganda
    daily, through the MSM..

I have read the others..Das Kapital, Mein Kampf, the Koran, and even  some post-modernism treatises, although probably not as diligently as
devotees to each of those "causes"... primarily because the gross errors come through early to the attentive reader.

A paraphrased quote from Gordon Liddy was "It is important that one reads books that they are uncomfortable with or have had no interest in."
