When the government attains total control over the power grid, they don't want anyone fudging around, and doing independent things when they do rolling blackouts. Or when they want to punish conservative areas of the Country, by shutting off the lights. The Biden Regime is looking to institute total Communist control.

Yeah,  they don't want any self sufficient anything
in the possession of the potential subjects

Lots of shortages and scarcity of different
stuff that us commoners use to cope with
adversity.  Canning supplies,  gardening
supplies,  repair parts for whatever you can
think of, effective over-the-counter medical
supplies and medicinals, things to defend
ourselves with, etc.
Just about whatever you can name
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I'm curious how "they" are gonna do that.  I mean, we're not required to register a genset.....they have no clue if we own one, let alone when we might have bought it.  And I suspect they'd be hard-pressed to get local LEO's and Sheriff's to even participate in such a horseshit exercise.  It would mean the LEO's would have to surrender thiers, too.

The overall plan by the Commycratics is that you will own nothing and the govmint will supply you with everything they deem necessary--and that will amount to pretty much nothing.  This might also be just another means to try to force everyone to put those ugly solar panels all over your roof.  And who builds the majority of solar panels--that would be China.  And who would be the number one agent for the Chinese?  Joe Biden.

A proposed Consumer Product Safety Commission rule limits the amount of carbon monoxide a generator can put out so Epoch Times turns that into Joe banning all generators.
Sounds logical. :)

Maybe we can limit the amount of cash that bought our President and his illegitimate son? Or at least the amount of coke found in the whitehouse. Look, squirrel...

I likely have at least as much formal education as you, but try not to let it override my common sense. Try it sometime.  ;) My sentence structure has nuthin to do with my  education. LOL, your seemingly lack of common sense must be a  great disappointment to your family.   :-\
The generator issue is on all major news venues, even the liberal ones, so Epoch news has very little influence on the issue.

You know what would be great?  If some of you bipeds could actually focus on the issue(s), rather than feeling butt-hurt and attacking each other.  THIS is why the libs get to advance things they way they do.....because you all can't actually let things go, and work together on the issues.

Basically the article says they want efficiency standards and emission standards so high that it will make most portable generators too expensive to buy.  They want people to buy battery backups or solar panels for back up electric production.   Many people take small portable generators camping, or buy one big enough to keep their refrigerators or freezers running during power outages.

Just read yesterday they want to have more strict standards on home appliances and force all new construction to have heat pump water heaters.  This also defeats the purpose of having a gas water heater in case of power outage, or gas stoves in case of power outages.  Problem with a heat pump with attached water heater is the excess heat during summer to heat water is fine, but in winter you have to use strip heat for the water heater.

They also want to eliminate pilot lights on gas water heaters and use spark igniters.  The gas industry has argued for years to leave them alone as the pilot light helps keep the water warm for less burn time.  It is not wasted heat.  It is simpler and operates without power.

Politicians and bureaucrats don't have common sense or engineering skills to know what they are mandating.

The grid by making all homes all-electric and using electric cars has to increase power production by about 1/3 and have new transmission lines installed, otherwise we are headed to rolling blackouts in 5-10 years.  Get your gas appliances, and wood heaters and generators now while you can.  Rolling blackouts are coming, especially in hot summers with air conditioning is going full blast.

there might be a way for them to do it. i saw somewhere on line a while back that biden wanted to make it illegal for a gas station to let you fill any can or auxiliary gasoline tank in the back of a truck. so youd have to fill your truck, go home and siphon it out for you generator.

Probably do like game wardens
around here do when they're looking
for people violating game laws by
shooting before and after legal
hours, and shooting out of season.
They listen for shots going off.
These border jumpers around here
use generators all the time when
they've got no electrical power.
They make a distinctive noise,
and you'd just have to listen for
one running to find out where
one was. You can smell wood
smoke and figure who has a
woodstove burning. LE's can
watch gun ranges and such if
they were looking for any banned
firearms.
If they have things to where you
can't use your banned thing you
had hidden, it's not doing you
any good. You're in the  same
leaky boat that the guy is
that didn't prepare for adverse
conditions

If enough people don't pull their
thumbs out of their butts, the
gubmint can continue to run
roughshod over the citizenry

Not exactly sure what having
an "armageddon " generator
would do around here anyway.
You'd have to sit up all night
next to it in a chair with a
shotgun in your lap to keep
the hoodrats from stealing it.
10 neighbors could see someone
stealing it, and none would
call 911, although at least 5
would video it to post online.
Fuel would be a problem unless
you had one rigged up for
propane. Gas here won't last
very long even with stabilizing
additives. I also noticed gasoline
went up around 15- 20 cents
overnight, so there's that too.

And of course the jealousy
and envy of neighbors and
their relatives and friends and
acquaintances

Be careful now. The next step after that post is to accuse anyone who does not fit your version of conservative of being a commie spy.

Likely true given where you live.

I laugh when I hear "preppers" saying buy gold for the coming economic collapse. In such a collapse who gets to decide what that gold is worth?
Buy long time storeable food. How will you prepare that food without others knowing it, and wanting it?
And my all-time favorite. Hoard 22 ammo for trade! Yeah, arm your enemies with ammo so they can load up, and take the rest.

What would likely happen is, tribalism would likely come back into vogue, and hopefully one could hookup with a strong but moral group.

So then, don’t stock up on food, ammo or buy some gold with some of your extra income. Great advice !!! Maybe we should trust cash and then use it to wallpaper our bathrooms with as done in the depression.

im on the side of having food and ammo. Gold? Lead will be worth more. Paper money? charmin works better. generator? great for short duration problems but you arent keeping it going for 5 years. water and food and the ability to stop others from taking it is what will keep you alive. even that is about an impossible goal. wont be some red dawn movie. foraging for game? join the other millions in the woods for 6 months till its all wiped out. even if you think your ready face the fact that most of us here are to old and crippled up to survive long. Best pray God takes you home before you suffer to much. i have a couple generators. main one works on propane or gas but its for short term power outages. it will power my 3 freezers so i dont loose my meat. might keep stuff froze till i can can it. which brings up another thing more avaluable then gold and thats canning jars and lids.

Agreed. Food and weaponry is what will count. When the Civil War was over, many family farms were wiped out. Fortunes were lost, and properly lost, occupied, or seized. Much of the country will be chaos. The walkers and the talkers will be seperated, and obvious to all.
