Can't be more than 49% of them catholic priests cuz 51% are politicians. 
i agree and disagree. sadly religion has been mixed with politics for decades. Kennedy carter and biden used it as a tool and even trump to some extent. hard to separate it when its one of the most important thing to most voters be they christian or atheist. what is wrong and i will sadly admit it is how political this latest pope is. but 51%? ive yet to see a catholic priest that pushes politics other then a couple ive known that had the guts to stand up during mas and tell the congregation that a vote for democrats is a vote for homosexuality or abortion. one that is a friend of mine stood up against homosexuality and i watched 5 people walk out. I applaud political priest's if that makes them political. if thats political then the bible is political. yup there are a few priests like in CA that have publicly stood up for homosexuals but they dont even make up one percent of one percent. i think that if you looked youd find many more protestant preachers that are political then catholic priests.
Even some whole protestant faiths are pro gay and turn a blind eye toward abortion like the methodists. some churches even allow openly gay ministers. there are things id like to see changed in my church. i think a pope should be able to be impeached because this one would probably see it. he is not popular with conservative catholics or even priests and i think a pope should be elected by the vote of the people not by a bunch of boot licking cardinals. but that wont happen in my lifetime. But no church on the planet puts more into protecting the unborn and very few take a harder stance on homosexuality. this pope may be pushing for more acceptance of homosexuality but then most churches in this country already at minimum turn a blind eye to it. id like to see this pope gone but it aint my first rodeo and even if they put the most conservative man they could find in there people, and for sure a few here wouldnt acknowledge it and would never admit he was a good christian leader. people will always try to tear down the catholic church. its people like that that will ultimately tear down Christianity asa whole. its already happening today. how can it survive when christians hate even other christians? we dont just have to fight the socialist left but even fellow christians. sad thing is people dont even realize they are playing right into the hands of those socialists that are sitting back snickering
