How many videos have you watched over the years where Trump admitted he donated to democrats? Including Including Hillary Clinton. Her and Bill were invited, and attended, his last wedding.
I believe also that up until the last few years Trump was a registered Democrat.  ;D

Well, we all have a past. I’m going on what President Trump did while in office, and it was pretty good... As I’ve said in the past, I may not agree with everything he has done, I won’t air it out on the open web as no one is perfect save one, he has many detractors already... Go President Trump... Best since George Washington.

Trump said he donated to many politicians on both sides
As far as rich kid Vivek I liked a lot of what he had to say
but he’s in it to Win $$$$$
So I’m concerned about how much walk he'll do, or how well
He knows how to pry and press other countries while being
squeezed by his own.
He's not Donald Trump but I’d be ok with him being
taught by Trump if that happens

Agreed. If Trump doesn't survive the bs my next pick would be DeSantis. If that doesn't work I'd give the little Indian a chance.

He mentioned that he was for cutting foreign aid. I'm all for that. Until this country takes care of a 32+ trillion dollar debt, we shouldn't be giving away anymore money.

Could be just talk. Just read where Vivek said, if elected, he would defund the Dept. of Education, and militarize the southern border. All talk???

He talks a good show, but I’m not sure he will deliver. He seems a bit smug and flippant to me.

Sometimes confidence is mistaken for smugness. I don't know enough about him to recognize the difference.

one thing thats true in every election is promises are made that arent followed through and in many cases promises that are beyond the control of the office they're running for. out of all the presidents in my lifetime trump has come the closest to doing what he promised. so until HE makes the decision not to run he will have my support

Politicians have learned to tell people what they want to hear, regardless of their intention. Politics have become such a lucrative career, and most lie and cheat to obtain a position where they milk tax payers.  "public servant"  is not even used anymore to describe their positions.  Most become very wealthy while in office.

“In Congress Ron DeSantis pushed a 23% national sales tax.

DeSantis co-sponsored the Fair Tax bill in 2013, 2015 and 2017, often in tandem with dozens of Republicans. (The bill is still kicking in 2023, too.)

How the Fair Tax Act would affect taxpayers

Taxpayers might look at the flat 23% tax and compare it with the income tax rate of their tax bracket — as well as payroll taxes — and think it’s a nice deal, said John Buhl, a spokesperson for the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center.
But by removing most federal taxes, the policy also removes deductions and credits, such as the child tax credit.

The Fair Tax Act’s critics say that this would be a regressive tax plan, under which poor and middle-class families pay more than wealthy households. The sales tax would apply to every purchase, while state sales taxes sometimes exempt certain items.
"Implementing the Fair Tax would likely result in higher taxes for the middle class and lower taxes for wealthier households. The only question is what the final numbers could look like," Buhl said.

DeSantis is just another politician speaking with forked tongue, saying what he thinks will get him elelcted.

Wasn't that 23% national sales tax, in lieu of all other federal taxes?  I don't know for sure, but I woiuldn't be surprised were it to total less than what most are already coughing up !

Sounds good to me. If for no other reason than abolishing the IRS. I would question the 23% rate, though.

A 3 bracket flat tax rate  based on income  would work better than a straight  10% across the board .

THEN ITS STILL "AN INCOME TAX". It wouldbe better to tax 10% on whatis spent rather than tax hard work.

They covered all that years ago
If there were a flat tax and no deductions for
anything,  it would work fine for less than 10%
across the board

Of course,  the definition of "income " would have
to be re-simplified back to the most basic of terms

What needs to happen regardless is trimming
the fat and eliminating all the secretary's secretary
and their assistant for the assistant's assistant
gubmint lifetime jobs

Your correct ,  A  person making $25.000  or less pays 0% income tax .  37% at the top income tax  rate .  I missed the subject . a flat sales tax rate .  De Santis wants 23% national sales tax for every purchase .  My grocery bill would  double under the current inflation  and  a 23 % sales tax .
