My own doctor at the time who was a Katrina
evacuee, described to me in detail about the
criminal element in new orleans that took advantage
of the situation and showed up declaring that
all their records were lost in the flooding and
hurricane. They left a trail of looting and theft
from new orleans to Houston and beyond.
A friend and his wife that lived near the main
artery from Houston (IH45) were told by the
local LE's to stay at home because of the
thug evacuees that were stealing gasoline from
stations along the way, and car jacking and
robbing other evacuees along the way ( just
like border jumpers do here)
We wouldn't have near the problems we
do today if we didn't enable and make excuses
for the criminals running around loose.
We need to feel sympathy for the victims
of crime, not the criminals
