Finally we get a break. We'd have something to worry about if the moon were drifting closer. There's much more likely to be an impact from that.

IMO the calendar and official times haven't been
in sync with the sunrise and sunset and seasons
in a while

Really, I haven't noticed anything unusual about the climate, the seasons, or the sunrise, etc. in over 80 years.
