You would have to pay me very well to wear a pair of nikes or anything with their name on it. You could throw many more names in the toilet also.

Same here.. Hard to find USA made sneakers though.  I understand New Balance shoes are however, made in Boston..

How rich is that?! They hire and pay millions to an anti-police, second rate athlete to be their spokesperson. And now this is their payback. I wish they’d have to shut all their doors.

Pretty sure those making their products are essentially slaves. Now, who’s the racist?

I wouldn't re-open any kind of store after it
had been looted/trashed
The hoodrats here boo hoo about being
underserved when these various stores
around here close up from being shoplifted
into bankruptcy

I personally don't care if they dug a hole in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, New York city, Portland LA, and all the other blue cities, and states for that matter, and bulldozed'em into the hole.

About 35 years ago Nike had a factory in California.  The average wage they paid was about $7.50 and hour, above minimum wage at the time.  The total cost to make a pair of their shoes was about $25.  They sold the shoes for about $90.  Now after Clinton went into office, they moved their factory to China.  It cost them about $2 to make a pair of shoes in China.  They still sold them here for $90.  Where did the American workers go?  What happened to them?  Are they now homeless?  American companies moving overseas and not lowering the cost of what they make to Americans should pay tariffs to take care of unemployed workers.  I wouldn't buy Nike's because of this.  Free trade agreements under Clinton stripped our country of about half our factories which at least paid a lower middle class wage as well as HEALTH CARE for their workers.  Just within 50 miles of me over 40,000 textile jobs have been lost due to Free Trade Agreements.  These factories included West Point Stevens which made sheets, pillow cases, and towels.  Russel Mills which made athletic wear.  Columbus carpet mills, Playtex, Mt. Vernon Mills, Leshner which made uniforms and work clothes.  We have since gotten some automotive supply companies, but they never hired the total number of workers lost.  We have also recently lost Briggs and Straton small engine factory.  Electric lawn mowers, etc, have started to take over as well as Honda small engines.

The government caused the problem and thus caused the health insurance problems.

The government caused the welfare problems with Johnson's Great Society.  The extreme poor lost the work ethic.

The government caused the unwed mother and single mother problem with welfare and food stamp rules helping them.  If they got married, they would loose their free benefits, yet most of them have a man or the father living with them.

The government caused the student loan problem when they took over student loans.  Colleges thus raised their tuition to very high levels because they knew the government would pay them and deal with the students later.  The colleges thus also began to offer stupid degrees that you couldn't get a job with.  French literature, art (not commercial art) and such.  No jobs available unless you get a Phd and teach it.

The government caused inflation after 1912 with the Federal Reserve System.  Also, not backing up the money with gold.

Most of today's problems were caused by the government over the last 50 years, even before.

I imagine the terrorists that blended in
with the 1.4 million gotaways at the southern
border will have the radioactive bombings in
US (whether "dirty " nuke or russian suitcase)
well under control. They've been training for
it for years

I heard a "news " report today that soon fast food
workers doing entry level jobs will soon be paid
$20.00 an hour in california
Same report says auto workers will soon be
striking for a 43% pay increase, and a 30 some odd
hour work week like a part time employee would
get, while having benefits and pay of a 40 hour
work week

What's a big mac going to cost?  17 dollars?
Who's going to buy that overpriced garbage?
How long do people expect industries to stay
open here and not padlock the doors and
move to honduras or china or india ?
If I were a gazillionaire, I'd send everybody
home and have my business bulldozed and
sell the property and move to costa rica
or a private bahamian island and live in
splendor and the thick headed dimwits
could sit in their taverns and cry about no
jobs

Have to do a little more research, but according to an economic article I read, we are very well into what they are calling a ''silent depression''. They took what wages and costs were in the early 30's, price of the average house, car, gas, food, etc. Adjusted for inflation to todays price's, and then the average wage of a worker today and did the math. The family in the 30's actually had a better or easier life one what they made. A dollar bought you more in the 30's, than what $10 buys you now.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman
