had surgery on a knee that was replaced 5 years ago that was giving me trouble. they were going to replace the replacement but when the cut it open the knee cap about fell out so the surgeon figured that was the problem so cemented it in and didnt do the replacement. well its been more painful then ever. swelled up so bad skin is faking off my leg. saw the doc yesterday and he said he thinks something isnt lined up and did a blood test and the readings were off the chart. he gave me an iv of antibiotics (because i refused to get admitted to the hospital). ive got to go back this morning for more antibiotics and to drain fluid. then if he can get the swelling and infection under control first of oct surgery. that will be #5 for me this year only beat by 1977 when i had 7. doc told me yesterday that if i wasnt so bullheaded and fought to stay in shape and physically strong all my life id no doubt be in a wheelchair or dead by now. he said he doesnt have a patient that has had a 1/3 of the major surgeries i have that isnt in a wheelchair at my age. told him ill crawl on the ground before im seen in a wheel chair. im way to proud and bullheaded.
